One has been busy.

First things first, can everyone reading this please fill out My Survey. My FYP is coming along, getting lots of really interesting data from humans and developers. This semester of college is pretty great, academically, I’m enjoying the modules and their content.

I have been busy with various events also. On the 6th Feb, I travelled with many Skynet members to FOSDEM in Belgium. Saw a few really interesting talks, met some interesting people and drank some interesting beers.

Dinner!

The following weekend, on Valentines Day, we held Skycon. Our keynote speaker was Randall Munroe of xkcd.

The day before Skycon I took Randall and Jeff Gough around Limerick, showing them the sights and giving them a bit of a history lesson. Being from England, Jeff had seen similar sights, but Randall had never been outside the US/Canada before, thus St. Mary’s Cathedral and King John’s Castle were the oldest buildings he had ever seen.

Photos from Skycon are up on colmmacc’s flickr. I took some of them!
